The Asia Regional Mission serves Burma, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

Maldives is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to the impacts of climate change. An archipelago of 1,200 islands no higher than one meter above mean sea level, Maldives is highly susceptible to sea level rise and damage from extreme weather events. These threats are exacerbated by human activity that damages the country's coral reef systems, leading to reduced fish populations, beach erosion, and saltwater intrusion into freshwater tables. More than half of Maldives' greenhouse gas emissions come from the energy sector.
